Air Fryer Chicken Thighs

We LOVE our air fryer. It makes cooking so many foods easier, healthier and way tastier.

Chicken thighs with berbere seasoning has become one of our staples and unfortunately for two of my clients, I tend to cook these while training them, because I meet with them right before lunchtime!

This recipe is so simple and the chicken comes out tender and juicy inside while crisp and crunchy on the outside.

The berbere seasoning definitely makes the dish. It’s an Ethiopian 12-spice blend that combines paprika, sea salt, cayenne, fenugreek, coriander, cumin, black pepper, cardamom, cinnamon, cloves, ginger and tumeric.

Ingredients: :

olive oil spray
4 chicken thighs
berbere seasoning

Directions:

  1. Preheat the air fryer for 5 minutes at 400.

  2. Lightly spray the bottom of the fryer with olive oil.

  3. Add the thighs and lightly spray with oil before seasoning with berbere.

  4. Cook on 380 degrees for 14 minutes, turn thighs over, add seasoning to other side and cook for an additional 14 minutes*.

That’s it. It’s super easy and tastes amazing. And smells good too!

*If for any reason you can’t flip the thighs over halfway (e.g. you’re training clients), just season both sides and allow to cook at 380 for 28 minutes.
